We went for dinner with some new friends and they had this giant tortoise named Dexter who loves cantaloupe.
Apparently he grazes in their yard in the summer like a cow.
      So awesome.
Hope you’re having a great weekend too :)

Oh my gosh, as if you have such an adorable turtle! Those are the guys that can get really big, right? I used to have a little painted turtle in a tank (I mean a real turtle) and she was so cute, but we couldn’t keep her because the upkeep of aquatic turtles gets expensive with all the filters, heaters, and lighting.

    Sundays are indeed awesome.

The tortoise actually belongs to the people with whom we had dinner last night. He was pretty neat and large!
He likes cantaloupe and chasing the dog off of his bed.

I thought she said he was 8, but that may have been how long they have had him…
      :)
