Yes, I have decided to open the feather + anchor blog up to hand picked sponsors in the form of small shops, entrepreneurs, artisans and fellow bloggers. The decision to do so has been a simple one for me.
I love the intimacy of small shops and blogs being connected in a sort of word of mouth fashion while supporting each other in a sustainable way. My goal in 2012 is to do more freelance writing while also committing more time to getting my own blog out into the world. I enjoy recording our days and connecting with like-minded friends from around the globe and if I can generate a tiny income from my writing then that makes it an even sweeter endeavor.
Starting a business or blog can be lonely in the early days so if you have a business or blog you would be interested in promoting on the feather + anchor blog please contact me. I would love to point my readers towards lovely shops, handmade goods, fellow bloggers, and helpful services because that is how I have some of the most inspiring and beautiful things. My rates would be very affordable, but I would also be interested in trading ad space for handmade goods and services or similar ad space on your site. I would also be open to reviewing products or services so long as they are in line with our family’s values and the feather + anchor vibe.
I have written for Rhythm of the Home and hope to write for this and other various publications; both local and far reaching.
